Tagetes Lucida Mexican Tarragon Tegetes Lucida is a Beutiful bright green Perennial found deep in the mountians of Sierra Mandre of Mexico. This Licorice sweet tasting herb has many uses . The Indians of Sierra Mandre Use the herb in the kitchen and in recreational ways. Aztecs used the herb in spiritual ceremonies. The herb was said to bring visual images " closed-eye " to those taking the herb. A tea is also made of Tagetes Lucida and then fermented to strengthen effects. Huichol Indians also combined Tagetes with Nicotiana Rustica when taking peyote or other hallucinogens to make the visions clearer and less frightening. Germination: Sow the seeds outside from March to April. Sow in pots or trays of moist seed compost and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a constant temperature of between 68-77F. Germination will take between 1-3 weeks.
